According to China Central Television's Economic Channel today, during the autumn recruitment season, brain-computer interface technology, one of the future industries supported by the state, is accelerating from the laboratory stage towards industrialization. This cutting-edge field integrates technologies from multiple disciplines such as biomedical engineering, neuroscience, computer science, and electrical engineering, and is becoming a new growth point for employment among college graduates.

Data shows that by 2027, the Chinese brain-computer interface market is expected to reach 5.58 billion yuan, with an annual growth rate of about 20%. Currently, hundreds of universities, research institutions, medical institutions, and enterprises across the country have laid out research and industrial applications in brain-computer interface, covering areas such as neural rehabilitation, smart prosthetics, educational training, and intelligent driving. However, the rapid development of the industry has also led to a shortage of related interdisciplinary professionals.

To address this trend, many universities have started to cultivate "industry-academia-research integration" brain-computer interface talents. Including Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Beihang University, many universities have established brain-computer interface research institutes or interdisciplinary innovation centers, promoting the construction of multidisciplinary courses, and conducting joint laboratories and research projects with the industry.

Industry experts point out that the application prospects of brain-computer interfaces are extremely broad, and could become the next industrial growth engine in areas such as medical rehabilitation, military command, and intelligent human-machine interaction. With increasing policy support and capital attention, the next three to five years will be a critical window period for brain-computer interface technology to move from research validation to commercial implementation.
