At the 2025 World Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Conference, China Agricultural University officially launched its latest agricultural artificial intelligence technology —— the Shennong Large Model 3.0. This large model covers agricultural disciplines and application scenarios across the country, marking a new stage in China's agricultural AI technology.

Even in the 1.0 version of the Shennong Large Model, it already had basic functions for agricultural knowledge Q&A; in the 2.0 version, it added multimodal capabilities, expanding towards practical agricultural applications. Now, the Shennong Large Model 3.0 focuses on 36 agricultural agents, launching three versions: 32B, 7B, and 1B, significantly improving computational efficiency, reducing computing power by 50%, and keeping performance loss for key tasks below 1%. These upgrades mean that the practicality of agricultural AI has not only been enhanced but also moving towards being "user-friendly and accessible."

Along with the release of the 3.0 version, the team from China Agricultural University also launched the "Shennong Large Model Agent Platform," building a new AI application ecosystem. By launching 36 agents, this platform will promote agricultural AI technology to a higher level of "system intelligence." In addition, the team also introduced three specialized all-in-one machines, ensuring the security of agricultural data and enabling normal operation in harsh environments.

Currently, the Shennong Large Model has been promoted in multiple regions, serving over 100,000 users. Looking ahead, China Agricultural University will continue to focus on research and development and upgrades, ensuring that this technology can benefit rural areas and agricultural development more widely.

The future of agriculture will be more intelligent, and the Shennong Large Model 3.0 undoubtedly injects new momentum into this process. As agricultural AI technology continues to spread and be applied, we have every reason to believe that rural revitalization will welcome a more promising tomorrow.
