OpenAI Releases 'Official Crawler': GPT-5 Trains on It, Can Be Blocked if Needed


OpenAI has added two advanced security measures to ChatGPT to address the risk of prompt injection attacks. The new measures are built on the existing security framework, including a sandbox mechanism and URL data leakage protection. The first measure is an optional lockdown mode for users with high security needs, aimed at preventing third parties from deceiving the AI into executing malicious commands or leaking sensitive information.
OpenAI announced that starting this Friday, it will discontinue five older versions of the model, including GPT-4o. Among them, GPT-4o has become the focus due to safety and compliance issues. The model poses risks such as overly catering to users, inducing self-harm, and causing paranoid behaviors, and has been involved in multiple legal lawsuits, leading to the termination of its service.
