Google recently released an experimental tool called Mixboard, designed to help users quickly create mood boards to explore and realize design inspirations.

As part of Google Labs, Mixboard allows users to freely create on an open canvas. Users can choose from preset templates or use text prompts to start a project. The tool is currently available for public testing in the United States, and users are welcome to try it out.

The interface of Mixboard is similar to many popular design platforms such as FigJam and Adobe Firefly Boards, making it easy to get started. Although this concept is not unique, Google's continuous exploration in the design application field is worth attention. When using Mixboard, users can upload their own images or directly use natural language descriptions to generate the desired visual effects. For example, users can input instructions such as "show several Memphis-style cups, bowls, and plates" or "plan a fall party for my living room," and the system will automatically generate relevant images to help users better present their creativity.

Mixboard has a wide range of applications, which can be used for collecting inspiration for home decoration, planning events, or even creating a series of interesting images just for fun. Similar to Pinterest, Mixboard allows users to explore and showcase their ideas through images. Google also emphasized that users can easily edit their mood boards using natural language prompts, adjusting or combining images. In addition, Mixboard supports one-click regeneration of images, allowing users to quickly generate new visual materials and improve design efficiency.
