According to a report by the Science and Technology Board Daily on September 3, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, officially established the Wenzhou Artificial Intelligence Bureau today, becoming the first city in the province to set up a dedicated AI management agency. This move marks a key step for Wenzhou in promoting the development of the artificial intelligence industry and building a governance system.

It is known that this establishment was approved by the Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee's Institutional Organization Commission. The Wenzhou Data Bureau will be concurrently marked with the "Wenzhou Artificial Intelligence Bureau", achieving an in-depth integration of data and AI governance.

The establishment of this bureau means that Wenzhou will have a more clear and centralized function for AI development coordination, providing institutional guarantees for accelerating the construction of an AI technology ecosystem in the local area, promoting the digital transformation of enterprises, and exploring AI regulatory mechanisms.
