Tesla recently released a stunning autonomous driving demonstration video, showcasing new advancements in its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. The video recorded a 580-kilometer journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles, taking a total of 7 hours, with no human intervention throughout the entire trip. The driver did not touch the steering wheel at any point, highlighting Tesla's leading position in the field of autonomous driving.

However, despite this achievement, some users have raised questions, especially regarding automatic charging. A car owner pointed out that the success rate of Tesla vehicles automatically entering superchargers is still insufficient, causing inconvenience. In response, Tesla CEO Elon Musk quickly replied, promising to launch a new charging feature that will allow vehicles to check available parking spots before reaching a supercharger and automatically park.

This charging process can be divided into two parts: first, the vehicle automatically enters the charging station, and second, the connection between the vehicle and the charger, followed by the charging itself. Although Tesla proposed the "snake arm charging" concept, which is advanced, it faces considerable technical challenges. Therefore, Tesla is currently exploring wireless charging technology and has acquired the company Wiferion to promote the development of this technology.

In terms of the Robotaxi business, Tesla is also accelerating its layout. The company plans to allow owners to add their vehicles to the Robotaxi fleet next year, enabling round-the-clock operations. An automated charging solution will be key to the success of this model. Tesla hopes to quickly launch Robotaxi services in cities like New York, which is expected to impact the traditional taxi market.

Additionally, Tesla plans to add new visual features to the FSD system. According to findings by hackers, Tesla is using the Unreal Engine (UE) to upgrade the visual effects of autonomous driving, making the driving experience more game-like. This update is expected to help drivers better perceive the environment around the vehicle, enhancing safety and driving enjoyment.

As these new features gradually go live, Tesla continues to push the boundaries of autonomous driving technology. The future of transportation will become more convenient and interesting.
