Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced on the social media platform X that his artificial intelligence company xAI will open-source Grok2 next week. This move marks xAI's further investment in the open-source community and is expected to accelerate the development and popularization of its AI technology.
The Grok2 model was released as a Beta version on August 13, 2024, along with the Grok-2mini model, focusing on improving reasoning capabilities. The open-sourcing of this model will undoubtedly provide global developers with an opportunity to deeply study and apply xAI's core technologies.
