At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Shanghai officially issued a new batch of demonstration operation licenses for intelligent connected vehicles. Companies such as Apollo Go became the first approved entities, marking an important step forward in the commercialization of autonomous driving in Shanghai.

Autonomous Driving

After obtaining the demonstration operation license, users can experience autonomous driving services in key functional areas of Pudong New Area, such as Jinqiao, Huamu, and Shibo. These areas cover core functional sectors of Pudong, including business, residential, and exhibition areas, providing rich testing and service environments for the application of autonomous driving technology in real urban scenarios.

Apollo Go not only obtained the demonstration operation qualification but was also selected for this year's China Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Exhibition, reflecting its technological leadership and industry influence in the field of autonomous driving.

Notably, Apollo Go provided L4-level autonomous driving shuttle services for this year's WAIC, allowing attendees to directly experience the practical application of high-level autonomous driving technology, transitioning from technology demonstration to actual service application.
