OpenAI is rolling out a new feature called **"Personality"** on its ChatGPT web app, aimed at enhancing the user experience when interacting with AI. This feature allows users to choose from multiple preset personalities, making the conversation style of ChatGPT more aligned with personal preferences.

Previously, although ChatGPT performed well in coding and reasoning, it lacked in personalization, while Microsoft's Copilot gave a stronger sense of personalization. This situation may soon change.

ChatGPT

This personalized feature is being gradually rolled out to some users worldwide, allowing users to customize how ChatGPT interacts with them.

By default, ChatGPT is designed as an outgoing and adaptable conversational partner. However, with this new feature, users can switch based on their needs and preferences. The current available personalities include: "Cynic": If users want ChatGPT to no longer respond with excessive praise for all questions, this critical and sarcastic personality would be an ideal choice. "Robot": This personality is efficient and straightforward, suitable for users who need concise and clear answers. "Listener": Thoughtful and helpful, it is ideal for users seeking support and understanding. "Wise One": This personality is enthusiastic and a bit nerdy, suitable for users who enjoy in-depth discussions and learning.

To experience this new feature, users simply need to click on the profile icon and select "Customize ChatGPT." In this settings interface, users can choose their preferred personality and make other related ChatGPT setting changes. It should be noted that since this feature is still being rolled out gradually, it may not be visible to all users immediately.
