The case mentioned Xiao Tian, a staff member of a confidential unit. During a casual chat at a colleague's home, he accidentally mentioned the progress of a major confidential project he was involved in. Unbeknownst to him, this conversation was overheard by the colleague's family member and later posted online, eventually leading to the leakage of state secrets. In response, the National Security Agency took this matter very seriously, and Xiao Tian and relevant responsible persons received disciplinary actions under party discipline and administrative regulations.

Another case involves Xiao Li, a researcher at a research institution. When writing a research report, he used an AI application software for convenience, uploading core data and experimental results to the software without authorization, which resulted in the leakage of confidential information in the research field. Afterward, Xiao Li also faced severe consequences, reflecting the serious consequences that can arise from improper management of technological tools.

There was also a new employee, Xiao Jiang, who, after attending a meeting and receiving a classified document, out of a desire to show off, took a photo of the first page of the document and posted it on his WeChat Moments. This behavior ultimately led to the leakage of information, resulting in corresponding disciplinary actions against Xiao Jiang.

To prevent similar incidents from happening again, the National Security Agency specially reminds the public that when using generative artificial intelligence tools, they must absolutely avoid processing any confidential information in internet or non-confidential environments. In addition, the artificial intelligence applications should be downloaded from legitimate channels to avoid information security risks caused by using counterfeit software.

Key points:

📌 Xiao Li, a researcher, was seriously disciplined for leaking confidential information due to the improper use of an AI tool.

📌 Newcomer Xiao Jiang was punished for leaking confidential information due to showing off by posting a classified document.

📌 The National Security Agency reminds everyone: do not use AI to process sensitive information in non-confidential environments.
