【AIbase Report】Recently, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released the 56th "Statistical Report on the Development Status of China's Internet" in Beijing. The report shows that in the first half of 2025, the field of generative artificial intelligence in China has experienced explosive growth, with rapid progress from technological breakthroughs to widespread application, and generative AI is deeply reshaping the digital ecosystem.
As of March 2025, 346 generative artificial intelligence services have completed registration with the State Internet Information Office, forming a globally leading artificial intelligence product system. Among them, the domestic large model DeepSeek has gained 30 million daily active users worldwide within less than 20 days of its launch, topping the application markets in 140 countries and regions, becoming one of the fastest-growing AI applications, drawing international attention.
The report also points out that generative AI technology is accelerating its penetration into various specific scenarios: at the user level, as of June, 80.9% of users used generative AI for Q&A, reflecting its wide application in information acquisition and knowledge assistance; at the industrial level, the scale of China's artificial intelligence industry exceeded 700 billion yuan in 2024, maintaining an annual average growth rate of over 20%, demonstrating strong development resilience.
At the same time, domestic AI products have achieved key breakthroughs in technical dimensions such as trillion-parameter models and multimodal capabilities, and have been deeply integrated into scenarios such as office collaboration, educational equity, industrial design, and content creation, building an intelligent application ecosystem covering multiple industries.
This series of data marks that China's generative artificial intelligence is moving from a "technological high ground" to "application depth," driving the restructuring of the global AI industry landscape.
