Google recently announced that it will introduce a new Gemini feature on its Wear OS smartwatches. This news surfaced as early as May this year, and now, this highly anticipated feature has finally been officially launched. In addition to the launch of Gemini, Google has also added an AI mode to its "Circle to Search" (Circle to Search) feature, enhancing the user search experience, especially for game-related queries.
According to Google, in the coming weeks, smartwatches running Wear OS 4 or higher, including devices from brands such as Pixel, Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi, will gradually support the Gemini feature. Interacting with Gemini is very simple: just say "Hey Google," press the side button on the watch, or click the Gemini app icon. Whether you're busy in the kitchen or getting ready to go out, you can ask Gemini questions anytime, such as "How long should I bake the sliced vegetables?" or "Do I need to bring an umbrella today?" In addition, Gemini can perform tasks across apps, such as "Summarize the last email Emily sent me" or "Add my son's next five baseball games to the calendar."
Notably, Google has fully upgraded the "Circle to Search" feature, allowing users to quickly search by circling, drawing, or tapping on content on the screen. In the new AI mode, users can explore complex topics and ask follow-up questions without switching apps. A "AI Overview" will appear in queries initiated through "Circle to Search," and users can easily click to get more detailed information.
Additionally, Google has optimized the usage process of the AI mode in Google Lens, so now both Android and iOS users can conveniently experience this feature. Currently, the feature is available in the United States and India. Gamers can also use "Circle to Search" on mobile devices to identify new characters or find winning strategies, making the gaming experience smoother.
Google also introduced a one-year Google AI Pro subscription service for Pixel 9 Pro users. Users only need to describe an idea, and it can generate short videos with natural audio, greatly enriching the creative experience for users.
