YouTube Introduces Generative AI Feature Dream Screen


Spotify has reached a milestone strategic licensing agreement with Universal Music Group, allowing Premium users to legally use generative AI technology to cover songs, marking the official regulation of AI music creation by streaming platforms and establishing new rules for the fan ecosystem.
At the French Cannes Film Festival, ByteDance's Volcano Engine launched the video generation model Seedance 2.0 and demonstrated its commercial application in film production. Eight AI films created based on this model were showcased, including the world's first 95-minute AI feature film 'HELL GRIND' produced by the US platform Higgsfield, marking the acceleration of generative AI into the mainstream film industry.
According to Apple's 2025 App Store Compliance Review Report, through collaboration between AI and human review, over $2.2 billion in potential fraud transactions were successfully prevented, with a total of over $11.2 billion blocked over six years. As generative AI lowers the development barrier, fraud activities are becoming more scalable and complex. Apple has increased its investment in machine learning, using AI models to accurately identify malicious software and strengthen platform security.
At the 2026 I/O Conference, YouTube unveiled its AI Evolution Roadmap, integrating the Gemini large model into three key areas: search, content creation, and security, rather than making a radical replacement. The newly introduced 'Ask YouTube' conversational search feature marks a shift from keyword-based retrieval to deep interaction, aiming to balance the platform's ecosystem with AI empowerment.
Google introduced the AI design application Pics at the 2026 I/O conference, integrated into Google Workspace. Users can generate social media images, marketing materials, and other visual content through text prompts, without requiring professional design skills. This move marks Google's formal entry into the AI design market dominated by Canva and Claude Design, aiming to lower the design barrier and address the challenges of precise control in generative AI.
