Kyoto University Utilizes CNN Algorithm for Quick Prediction of Grain Yield

Meta Intelligence OS is a startup founded by Bloomberg. It has developed a series of large models based on the open-source model RWKV and aims to become the Android in the era of large models. The RWKV model has superior performance and low cost in inference tasks, thus attracting customers from industries such as finance, law firms, and smart hardware. The business model of Meta Intelligence OS is model customization based on private data and internal AI Agent development. The company hopes to solve the problems of API call latency and data security by deploying large models on terminal devices. Currently, RWKV versions are available on Windows, Mac, and Linux computers, and Android and iOS versions are also in development. Meta Intelligence OS is raising funds and collaborating with chip companies and computing power platforms to create benchmark customers. Luo Xuan said that the decisive battlefield for large models is on hardware, and both terminal devices and the cloud require dedicated chips.
The application of artificial intelligence in healthcare has reached a major breakthrough! A study conducted by several top institutions, including Harvard University and Stanford University, shows that OpenAI's o1-preview model demonstrates astonishing capabilities in multiple medical reasoning tasks, even surpassing human doctors. This research not only evaluated the model's performance on medical multiple-choice question benchmarks but also focused on its diagnostic and management capabilities in simulated real clinical scenarios, yielding impressive results. Researchers conducted five experiments to assess o1-
Recently, a research team has released a new image super resolution (SR) technology based on Diffusion Inversion, aimed at enhancing image resolution and clarity by fully utilizing the image prior information within large pre-trained diffusion models. This research was jointly completed by three scholars from different academic institutions, who aim to bring new breakthroughs to the field of image super resolution. In this technology, the researchers designed a method called 'Partial Noise Prediction'.
Yann LeCun, head of AI research at Meta, recently stated in an interview that current AI systems are not as powerful as some researchers have claimed. He noted that the true understanding, planning, and reasoning capabilities of AI are still lacking and that multiple 'conceptual breakthroughs' are needed to achieve human-like intelligence. Image source note: Image generated by AI, image licensed from provider Midjourney. LeCun criticized the overly optimistic attitudes of OpenAI and Google DeepMind towards AI.
Recently, IBM announced the launch of version 3.1 of its open source language model Granite, which brings many important enhancements. The new version of the model has been redesigned with a denser architecture, capable of handling up to 128,000 tokens at once. This update signifies a substantial improvement in Granite's ability to process complex text and tasks. The Granite 3.1 model has been trained on datasets in 12 languages and 116 programming languages, processing a total of 12 trillion tokens.
