Microsoft's Windows 11 system has received new news, indicating the upcoming AI dynamic wallpaper feature. According to WindowsLatest, related code references have appeared in the latest Windows 11 preview version, but the feature is not yet activated, and specific details remain to be disclosed.

It is understood that this feature, named "Dynamic Background," was first exposed by Phantom last month. Internal string descriptions indicate that users' background images will automatically update based on personal choices. This means that users may be able to select different theme categories, and the system will automatically change or mix the wallpaper based on these selections. This dynamic mechanism may also include a time-based response scheme, but it is currently unclear whether AI technology will be used.

Microsoft has previously explored similar features. Early this year, an engineer demonstrated a canceled AI desktop background feature. In addition, the Surface Neo device running the Win10X system had a similar wallpaper feature (although it did not use AI). The current Windows Spotlight feature only supports rotating specific wallpapers and does not implement intelligent or timeline-based changes.

Notably, Microsoft's Creative Design team once mentioned that the development aimed to build a signature visual system for Windows 11, but the related device project has been terminated. Therefore, this new AI dynamic wallpaper feature is sure to attract widespread attention.

Although the AI dynamic wallpaper feature is still in development and has not been officially launched, it undoubtedly adds new possibilities to the user experience of Windows 11. We look forward to future test versions activating this exciting feature as soon as possible and providing users with a more personalized and intelligent desktop experience.
