Recently, a media outlet revealed that the user growth team of ByteDance has developed an AI product called "Tanjian." This product is based on ByteDance's Dounao model and was developed by Beijing Youzhujv Network Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ByteDance.
According to the information, "Tanjian" mainly provides intelligent guidance services related to food for users. During practical experience, it demonstrated functions such as coupon package purchases, food orders through apps, and even AI-made dish suggestions.
An informed source told the reporter from Nancai Express that "Tanjian" is a limited attempt of TikTok's life service combined with the AI recommendation function, currently only available in the TikTok mini program. This indicates that ByteDance is actively exploring the integration of AI technology into local life services, aiming to provide users with a more intelligent and convenient experience regarding food.
It is noteworthy to mention that last September, the company Beijing Zitu Wangluo Jishu Co., Ltd. had already applied for multiple "Tanjian" trademark registrations, covering international classifications including scientific instruments, food and accommodation, website services, among others. This action also confirms ByteDance's positioning strategy and future development plan for this product.
