SportsVisio recently announced the completion of a $3.2 million funding round, aimed at bringing advanced artificial intelligence technology into the hands of every athlete, coach, and fan. This round of financing brought SportsVisio's total funding to $9 million. The round was supported by existing investors Sapphire Sport, Hyperplane, and Sovereign’s Capital, as well as new investors such as Mighty Capital, Sony Innovation Fund, Alumni Ventures, and Waterstone Impact Fund.
Notably, the participation of Sony Innovation Fund is worth highlighting. With deep expertise at the intersection of content, entertainment, and emerging technologies, Sony Innovation Fund provides SportsVisio with a unique perspective to help reimagine the way sports are captured, analyzed, and shared. "We invest in technologies that have the potential to reshape industries, and SportsVisio is a perfect example of this," said Austin Noronha, Managing Director of Sony Ventures US. "Their AI-driven platform offers professional-grade tools for young and amateur athletes, transforming the way sports moments are captured and shared. We're excited to support a team committed to expanding access to high-quality sports content and empowering the next generation of athletes."
Jennifer Vancini, a partner at Mighty Capital, also expressed agreement, stating that SportsVisio's product combines cutting-edge AI technology with an intuitive user experience to create solutions relied upon by athletes, coaches, and leagues. She noted that SportsVisio's rapid adoption and deep engagement indicate its long-term value, and she looks forward to working with them to change how sports experiences and moments are shared.
This latest funding will be used to drive sales and market growth. SportsVisio plans to expand its business in basketball and volleyball while entering emerging sports like baseball, serving amateur, youth, and professional sports organizations globally. "We are very pleased to continue receiving support from Sapphire Sport and Hyperplane, as well as welcoming new partners," said Jason Syversen, CEO of SportsVisio. "This funding and strategic guidance will help us extend our mission by providing smarter AI-driven solutions that help teams and players win both on and off the field."
In addition, SportsVisio has recently achieved three important product milestones: launching a coach mode to provide deeper insights into player performance, team trends, and game flow for coaches; releasing a comprehensive volleyball platform now offering AI-driven statistics and automated highlights for this rapidly growing sport; and adding a 3x3 product to meet the needs of this fast-paced and intense competition format. These innovations further underscore SportsVisio's commitment to building sport-specific tools to give coaches and athletes actionable data and video access.
Currently, SportsVisio serves more than 150 leagues, clubs, and teams across 16 countries, helping coaches, athletes, and teams elevate their game through data-driven decision-making and video highlights.
