Caicai recently launched a new unmanned vehicle and started pre-sales simultaneously. This model is named Caicai GT-Lite, priced at 21,800 yuan, and the actual price after superimposing time-limited discounts is only 16,800 yuan. Caicai stated that this car enables the落地application of L4-level autonomous driving delivery vehicles.
A relevant person in charge of Caicai introduced that the new affordable model and the high-end model are produced on the same platform, and its autonomous driving system has not been reduced in any way. This model is specially designed for courier outlets, aiming to help courier outlets reduce the cost of using unmanned vehicles, ensuring that the outlets can both afford it and use it safely.
It is reported that compared with the high-end model Caicai GT Pro launched in January, the new affordable model Caicai GT-Lite shortens the cargo range to 100 kilometers. However, it performs better in terms of capacity, load capacity, and speed, and is more affordable, perfectly matching the short-distance shuttle transportation needs between courier outlets and collection points. The Caicai GT Pro has a range of 180 km, a cargo space of 5 m³, is equipped with 1 laser radar and 11 cameras, and can carry 600 to 800 parcels per load.
An industry analyst pointed out that the impact of autonomous driving technology on the logistics industry is becoming increasingly prominent, especially in reducing costs and improving efficiency, where its role has surpassed the ride-hailing field. Caicai's launch of a high-value L4-level autonomous delivery vehicle is expected to further promote the intelligent transformation of the logistics industry, improve overall operational efficiency, bring new models and vitality to the end-of-line delivery of express delivery, and its application and development in the market deserve attention.
